Friends of Nenagh Hospital hold AGM
The AGM of the Friends of Nenagh Hospital took place on November 18th in the meeting room of Andy's pub, courtesy of Joe Mulqueen.
A very progressive year was reported on for 2015 outlining the Friends' involvement in the provision of a new 16-bed unit at the hospital, their recent purchase of a dermatology machine to provide services at the hospital, and their current project of refurbishing a suite of rooms to accommodate the cardiac failure clinic. In total, the Friends has committed €290,000 of its funds to projects at the hospital this year.
The new executive committee was elected, complete with new chairman Declan McGee, who takes over from Liam Gleeson, who is stepping down after four progressive years in the role. The new committee is as follows: Chairman Declan McGee, Vice-Chair Pat Dunlea, Secretary Angela Toohey, Treasurer Ann Ryan, PRO Noreen Kennedy and Director of Development Alan Kelly.
We wish all concerned much success in their roles. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our former Chairman Liam Gleeson for his commitment and energy to the role and his continued support for the Friends of Nenagh Hospital.
A fundraising committee is also now being formed and anyone interested in being part of this committee should contact any member of the executive or message us on our Facebook page.
