Kiladangan will be a duel senior club again in 2019 after they staved off a strong second-half Drom & Inch fightback to preserve their senior football status for another year following an absorbing relegation final battle on Sunday.

With the trap-door looming, both sides went into this encounter determined to secure status but Drom were forced to line out with a depleted panel and in the end a lack of substitutes proved costly for the Mid side.

Played in perfect autumnal sunshine, Kiladangan thundered into the contest and led 1-3 to 0-1 with just eleven minutes elapsed thanks to a tenth minute Billy Seymour goal coupled with points from Joe Gallagher, Barry Hogan and Willie Connors propelling them into a 1-3 to 0-1 advantage.
