Christmas night hike in Upperchurch

The annual Christmas Night Hike will be held in Upperchurch this Sunday, December 18th, starting from the community centre at 6.30pm.

Registration prior to the walk is €5 for adults, €2 for students, with primary schoolchildren free. Please note the earlier than usual starting time.

 

This year the walk will again be on Knockalough, including a new section, so the going should be reasonably dry. There will be the usual prayers, readings, carols and reflections with festive fare supplied for inner warmth. A special welcome is extended to our new PP Fr Tony Ryan, who will take part in the celebrations. Complimentary tea and sandwiches will be available in the hall afterwards followed by some seasonal festivity in the local hostelries.
