Hospital receives help from friends
It was with great pleasure that the Friends of Nenagh Hospital recently presented a cheque for €31,387.13 to Cathrina Ryan, Director of Nursing at Nenagh hospital, to pay for the newly installed dermatology machine.
This welcome asset to the hospital was paid for from donations the 'Friends' have received from the local community, and it has saved patients in the Nenagh and surrounding areas from traveling to University Hospital Limerick to avail of dermatology services there.
Upcoming funding commitments the Friends have agreed to for the hospital include funding for the new cardiac failure unit and the funding of two rooms in the new wing of the hospital, construction of which is due to commence shortly.
Due to these financial commitments made by the Friends, they are now asking for support from the local community to help in future creative and exciting fundraising activities that are planned. These activities will help the Friends continue their great work assisting the management and staff of Nenagh hospital to provide an effective delivery of valuable medical services to the local community.
If you, a family member, a neighbour, a friend or an acquaintance would like to be a volunteer or to be part of our fundraising committee, please feel free to contact any committee member or come to our AGM in the Breakfast Room of Andy’s Bar, Sarsfield St, Nenagh, on November 18th at 7.30pm. A fundraising table quiz will follow immediately after the AGM. Tables of four are €20 and all are invited.
As always, the Friends of Nenagh Hospital would like to thank the people of the local community and surrounding areas for their continued support, as without this support we could not carry out our work on your behalf.
