Kiladangan pleased by defensive effort

Kiladangan manager Brian Lawlor admitted it won't be a North Final that will go down in living memory but nevertheless was happy to get their hands on the Frank McGrath Cup for a seventh time on Sunday.
“We are very happy to win,” he began
“I don't think it was the very best of games. Maybe both teams had an eye on the county quarter final.
“The conditions were bad and the handling was poor but we are delighted to have come out the right side of it.”
It was a game that never developed any flow with a high free count and a lot of stoppages but the Kiladangan boss was happy that they managed to do enough to secure victory.
“It was just one of those games that was very stop start with line balls and frees. I don't think the game ever got into a flow,” he added.
