Solicitor’s marathon challenge
Nenagh solicitor, Conor Delaney, is fully immersed in training for the Galway Bay Marathon to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. Having run the Galway Bay Half Marathon two years ago, Conor believes the time is now right to have a go at the full marathon and raise funds for a cause that is dear to this heart.
He said: “Having recently lost family members and a secondary school friend to cancer, I want to raise funds in their memory and also for this worthy cause. I'm still relatively active and while I have the energy and enthusiasm, I'd like to challenge myself and push my boundaries and what better way to do that than run a marathon.”
Training is currently taking place on the R499 between Dolla and Ballinamona Cross, and if you see Conor out, be sure to honk your horn and give him some encouragement.
