Leading global advisory and investing platform, Consello, led by Tipperary man, Declan Kelly has announced an agreement with the European Tour to become an Official Supporter of the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor.
The staging of the event in September 2027 in Co Limerick is expected to deliver a significant economic dividend for the midwest and the country - the 2023 Ryder Cup held in Rome resulted in an estimated economic impact of €262 million for Italy, including 241,000 visitors from 200 different countries.
Consello Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Declan Kelly said that the Ryder Cup's return to Ireland "has special meaning for all of us who were born on the island of Ireland and love golf, and we are delighted to be partnering with The European Tour for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend at Adare Manor".
Kelly - a native of Portroe, 45 minutes from Adare, said that "the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Ryder Cup is a major milestone for one of the greatest occasions in all of sport.”
The terms of the deal are not disclosed but next year's event at the JP McManus-owned Adare Manor resort is expected to be the biggest ever held on the island in terms of global exposure and, for business, an unprecedented international networking event.
Kelly's company, which employs over 30 people in Ireland, was founded four years ago and advises many of the world's leading companies and CEOs.
Consello's offering ranges from C-suite Advisory to Sports & Entertainment Advisory, with the Ryder Cup, according to Kelly, “is a natural fit for Consello given our strong association with leadership, excellence, teamwork, and sports”.
Consello already has close ties to the Ryder Cup where Consello Ambassador and winner of the 2026 Amgen Irish Open, Shane Lowry, a three-time Ryder Cup veteran, memorably retained the Ryder Cup for Europe with a winning putt on the 18th green at Bethpage in 2025.
In addition, Consello Advisor, Paul McGinley, captained Europe to victory at Gleneagles in 2014 and holed the winning putt as a player at The Belfry in 2002.
Chief Executive Officer at the European Tour Group and Ryder Cup Europe, Guy Kinnings said, "We are delighted to welcome Consello as an Official Supporter of the Ryder Cup. We have had a long association with Declan and his team. Consello's global perspective, commitment to excellence, and deep engagement with sport make it a natural partner for this event.
“We look forward to working together as we build toward what will be a memorable Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in 2027” Mr Kinnings said.
Consello’s wider global sports network includes NFL legend and founding Consello Senior Advisor Tom Brady, tennis champion Serena Williams and former NBA all-star Pau Gasol.
Locally, rugby great and La Rochelle coach Ronan O'Gara is a Senior Advisor, while athletics legend Eamonn Coghlan has also been associated with the firm's Irish sporting and business network.
