Tax was expired for 552 days
A man whose motor tax was expired for 552 days was recently fined at Nenagh District Court.
Paul Dwan (47) of Millview, Toomevara, was observed by guards along the Dromin Road in Nenagh on December 5, 2025.
It was discovered that the tax on his vehicle had expired 552 days previously.
When Mr Dwan was stopped by gardaí, he said that he was waiting to see of the vehicle would pass the NCT. Mr Dwan appeared before Nenagh District Court with no previous convictions.
Judge Marie Keane convicted Mr Dwan and fined him €300 with four months to pay.
