New decision date for biogas plant
Tipperary County Council's decision on the planning application for an anaerobic digestion bio plant near Birdhill, which was to be given on Wednesday next, August 19, has been deferred to Tuesday, September 29.
Annaholty Green Energy Ltd has submitted a Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) application for development consisting of planning permission for a period of 10 years for the construction and operation of a biogas facility comprising two primary anaerobic digesters, one secondary digester/storage tank, and a series of associated features including a two-storey admin building containing offices, laboratories, and welfare facilities, and a Gas Networks Ireland compound kiosk. A new site entrance off the L94451 is also planned.
A total of 168 submissions in relation to the application were received by the county council, all of which have to be considered in making a decision
