Sympathy
Tipperary GAA offers its deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Paul Stapleton (Gortataggart, Thurles, and formerly Longorchard, Templetuohy) who passed away recently.
Paul served as Secretary of the Referees' Appointments Committee for over 10 years, working under a number of chairpersons during that time. He was the glue that kept everything together.
He was always willing to help referees with umpiring duties, both within and outside the county. Paul was also ever present in organising and covering the many inter-county games in Tipperary involving visiting referees.
He put his heart and soul into making refereeing and the overall refereeing set up better for everyone. His dedication, commitment and friendship will be greatly missed by us all, especially by his close friends in this group. May Paul rest in peace.
