Full house for Keelan’s album launch

A large crowd gathered in The Kenyon Bar, Nenagh, on Friday night for the official Tipperary launch of The Reel Road, the debut album from traditional musician and composer Keelan McGrath.

Music lovers travelled from across Ireland to attend the event, reflecting the growing interest in McGrath's music and the strong support for his work within the traditional music community. The venue was filled to capacity, creating a wonderful atmosphere for what was a memorable celebration of music, composition and tradition.

The album, which features a collection of original compositions by McGrath alongside a selection of favourite tunes, was warmly received by those in attendance. Guests were treated to live performances of tracks from the album throughout the evening.

The night featured performances from Keelan McGrath, Gearóid McNamara, Simon Crehan and Ned Kelly, showcasing an outstanding display of traditional Irish music.

Speaking on the night, Ned Kelly praised Keelan and the McGrath family for their dedication to preserving and promoting traditional Irish music, acknowledging their significant contribution to the tradition over many years.

The Nenagh event marked the first official launch of The Reel Road in Tipperary, with further launches and appearances planned at festivals and events around the country in the coming months. The album represents a significant milestone for the young musician and composer and highlights his growing contribution to Ireland's rich musical heritage.
