Tom Harrington was also presented with a chevron to mark 45 years of service to Nenagh Lions Club from the District Governor Marian McGreevy and Donal Smyth, President of Nenagh Lions Club.Nenagh Lions Club is delighted to announce that Nenagh Lions Club Annual Golf Champagne Scramble at Nenagh Golf Club will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24. All the proceeds from our annual golf outing will go to Nenagh Special Summer Camp.
Our Lions committee appeals to all golfing enthusiasts from local and surrounding golf clubs to support this very worthy golf outing. Our annual charity event has become a very popular and fun occasion in the local golfing calendar.
The format is a Champagne Scramble involving teams of four (any combination) with usual rules applying.
Prizes are kindly sponsored by Jim McLoughney Menswear and BREO Jewellers all of whose generosity is much appreciated. It is important to note there is an All-Ladies Team Prize.
The time sheet will be available online.
Entry fee is €100 per team. Presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday, May 24, at 9 pm in the clubhouse.
Nenagh Lions Club asks for your support to fundraise for this wonderful local organisation which is Nenagh Special Summer Camp and express our sincere thanks to the general public for all your generosity for this and other events such as the Christmas Food Appeal over the years.
Nenagh Summer Camp was started in 1988, last year marked its 30th year. Nenagh Special Summer Camp runs for a number of weeks and provides holiday fun and play for over 80 special needs children and adults.
CALLOUT FOR VOLUNTEERS
Nenagh Special Summer Camp is specifically tailored for children with special needs and offers a week-ong fun packed camp for local children in July at Nenagh College. A very dedicated team of adults organise a programmef activities with the support of teenagers from the local secondary schools. They are currently recruiting volunteers.
