FBD Stadium looking for new stewards
FBD Semple Stadium is a mecca for all hurling followers. Ensuring that people have an enjoyable experience when they come to Thurles for a game is very important and our voluntary stewards play a key role in welcoming people and showing them to their seats or places on the terrace.
Semple Stadium has been very fortunate over the years that so many people from the clubs in Tipperary have made themselves available to steward at games whether they be club or inter-county games.
It is now in need of more stewards and are asking clubs to let their members know of anybody who might be interested in volunteering as a steward in FBD Semple Stadium.
Stewards will receive full training and become part of a dedicated community of volunteer stewards who make sure that games run well at the Stadium, help people who need assistance and make attending a game as enjoyable as possible, even if the result does not always go the right way! It's an enjoyable role and no prior experience is required.
Anyone who is interested should contact Tom Maher, Rúnaí of the Semple Stadium Management Committee at ccc.tipperary@gaa.ie. If anybody wishes to discuss the role, contact Tom 0872662567 or Ger Ryan on 0868149146.
There will be a stewards training course in the Dome at Semple Stadium on Saturday, 9th May commencing at 10.00am. It will last for approximately three hours.
