Acclaimed trad trio for Arts Centre

Nenagh Arts Centre will welcome acclaimed Irish singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh on Saturday, April 11, at 8pm, performing alongside celebrated musicians Donal O’Connor and Gerry O’Beirne.

Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh is a multi-award winning traditional singer and musician from Corca Dhuibhne in West Kerry, and one of the leading exponents of the sean-nós singing style. Deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of her upbringing, her work reflects a lifelong connection to the living tradition of Irish music and song, expressed through her distinctive vocal and instrumental style.

A highly respected figure on the Irish traditional music scene, Muireann was named RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Singer of the Year in 2022, further cementing her reputation as one of the country’s most compelling voices.

Joining her are Donal O’Connor and Gerry O’Beirne, both acclaimed musicians in their own right. Together, the trio create a richly textured live performance, blending traditional songs with contemporary arrangements and vibrant instrumentals.
