Restorative works in Terryglass cemetery

The AGM was held on February 9 and the committee would like to thank all who attended. Thanks are also extended to families, caretaker, and everyone who helps to keep the cemetery looking so well.

A special thanks to Morgan Murray Stoneworks, which carried out restorative works in recent times.

An example of which was the headstone of Daniel Mullaly, a stone mason who worked on the building of Terryglass church at the turn of the 19th/20th centuries. A native of Cork with no family in the area, his headstone was lifted, refaced, re-lettered, and a new foundation fitted to straighten the leaning headstone. A great example of what can be done to enhance the cemetery.
