Garda appeal after man assaulted in yard
Gardaí are appealing for witness information after a man was assaulted in a yard near Borrisokane.
The incident occurred at Feigh, Borrisokane, around 9.30pm on Sunday, March 22. It is understood that two men entered the injured party’s yard without his permission. An assault took place. The injured party, who is aged in his 60s, was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew.
This is one of several incidents in recent weeks that gardaí in Nenagh are seeking information about. There was also a house burglary in Cormack Drive, Nenagh, around 6pm on Wednesday, March 18. A number of items were stolen from the house.
A shop on Mitchel St was broken into around 3am on Saturday, March 21. Also under investigation is the theft of tools and diesel from a building site at Tyone, Nenagh, between Friday, March 20 and Monday, March 23. There was a further theft of batteries from a farm at Abbeyville, Lorrha some time between March 23 and 29
Gardaí are also appealing for information about an incident in which a rock was thrown at a car at Gurtagarry. This incident occurred around 11am on Wednesday last, March 25.
