An evening of mindfulness and reflection

Nenagh Arts Centre will host A Nurturing Evening of Mindfulness and Loving Presence on Wednesday, April 1, at 7.30pm, led by Hakomi psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher Rachel Sweetman-Doris.

This gentle and reflective evening will feature guided meditation alongside poetry and music, offering audiences a chance to pause, reconnect and cultivate a sense of calm and presence. Designed for anyone seeking greater peace of mind and self-reflection, the event invites participants to step away from the pace of everyday life and experience the restorative power of mindfulness.

Rachel Sweetman-Doris has spent more than 35 years working in the fields of psychotherapy and mindfulness, supporting individuals and groups in discovering inner calm, resilience and a deeper sense of fulfilment and joy in their lives.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Focus Ireland, the national charity working to prevent and address homelessness across Ireland.

Rachel began studying Hakomi therapy in 1991 after graduating from Trinity College Dublin. She later travelled to India to deepen her practice of Heartfulness meditation and has continued to develop her work through decades of mindfulness practice and teaching.

She trained as a mindfulness teacher with internationally recognised teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach and has long drawn inspiration from the teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh and Eckhart Tolle.

A Nurturing Evening of Mindfulness and Loving Presence offers audiences a welcoming space for reflection, stillness and gentle self-discovery, while also supporting an important national cause.
