LADIES FOOTBALL: Munster Minor Championship Round 3

Tipperary delivered a powerful first-half performance that set the foundation for victory in round 3 over Limerick in the Munster Minor Championship at Staker Wallace GAA.

Tipp opened brightly with chances for Chloe O’Neill before Grace Hogan struck the first goal after eight minutes. Limerick struggled to gain a foothold, registering several wides, while Tipp kept increasing the pressure. Hogan added her second goal in the 22nd minute before Tipp produced a devastating three-goal spell just before the interval with goals from Chloe O’Neill 28th, Aoibhinn Casey 28th and Grace Hogan completing her hat-trick in the 29th minute.

Limerick’s only first-half score came from Molly O’Mahony, leaving them trailing sat the break, 5-0 to 0-1.

Limerick began the second half with renewed intent, though wides from Behan and Murphy slowed their progress. Tipp rotated their squad effectively, and Chloe O’Neill struck her second goal in the 42nd minute.

Limerick rallied strongly in the final quarter, registering 3-3 but Tipp’s first-half dominance kept them comfortably ahead at the final whistle.
