PREMIER LEAGUE

Nenagh AFC 2-1 Aisling Annacotty

Nenagh AFC picked up three vital points in the Premier League to give their survival hopes a huge boost following an impressive 2-1 win over Aisling Annacotty in Brickfields on Sunday.

Aisling, on a high after their midweek victory over Pike Rovers in the Tuohy Cup, were rocked when Nenagh took the lead after twenty minutes when Dylan Morrison set up Dan O’Meara to finish.

Good work from Pa Steed created the opening for Aaron Cusack to make it 2-0 just before the break.

Aisling fought back after the restart and Joel Coustrain scored from a penalty kick with fifteen minutes remaining. Solid defending secured the win for Nenagh who could afford a penalty kick miss late in the game.

Goals from Daniel Ikoghode and Cian Power had Moyross well in control by the break and Stephen Hannon added a third in the second half.
