League of Ireland Tipperary Preview

Senior Men
There will be plenty of North Tipperary interest when the Men’s League of Ireland first division gets underway this Friday night when Cork City playing host to Treaty United at Turners Cross.
Heavy favourites, Cork City, will be hoping that Roscrea winger Brody Lee can help unlock the Treaty defence, which will be marshalled by Nenagh’s Mark Walsh, with Ballina’s Jack Brady in the Treaty goal.
Cork are unbeaten in their four pre-season friendlies, with Lee in from the start in one and coming off the bench in the other three. Treaty, on the other hand, have won one, drawn one, and lost two of their friendlies, with Nenagh’s Mark Walsh starting in two of their four games.
Senior Women
Roscrea’s Ceola Bergin and Molly Kirwan met in a friendly between Galway United and Wexford ahead of the League of Ireland women’s premier division season, which kicks off in early March.
Under 23 Women
Former Killavilla United player Mya Steele was in friendly action for Wexford against Cobh Ramblers on Sunday in St Colman’s Park.
This year, Roscrea’s Danni Nash will play her third season with CK United in the League of Ireland.
Under 17 Men
As part of his transition year program with Tempo Football Limerick, Roscrea’s Chris Bahon is in Spain this week.
The former Killavilla United and Moneygall centre half will play against Atletico Madrid, Getafe CF and Innova Moratalaz.
