Making a real and lasting difference

The committee of Nenagh Special Summer Camp would like to extend our sincere thanks to Nenagh Players for their incredibly generous donation from their recent gala night production of Cash on Delivery. Their continued support makes a real and lasting difference to our camp and to the families we serve in the Nenagh community.

Nenagh Special Summer Camp is a voluntary, community-run camp for children and young people with additional needs. Each summer, we provide a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where campers can build friendships, develop confidence, and simply enjoy being children. Our dedicated team of adult volunteers and teenage buddies create a week filled with activities, laughter, and support for every child who attends.

As a registered charity, we rely almost entirely on donations, fundraising, and community goodwill to keep the camp running each year. Contributions such as this one from Nenagh Players help cover essential costs, including equipment, transport, insurance, and resources that ensure every child has the best possible experience.

Our 2026 camp will run across three weeks:

July 6 – 10: Ages 4–9

July 13 – 17: Ages 10–13

July 20– 24: Secondary school students

PARENT INFORMATION EVENING

We will host a parent information evening on March 23 in Andy’s Gastropub, Nenagh, where families can learn more about the camp and ask any questions ahead of the summer.

We are always looking for volunteers, and any adults who would like to help during the weeks of camp are very welcome to get involved. We will also be visiting local secondary schools in the coming weeks to recruit our teenage buddy volunteers - young people who play a vital role in the camp each year and who we would truly be lost without.

Once again, we thank Nenagh Players for their generosity and for supporting the work we do. Their kindness helps ensure that Nenagh Special Summer Camp can continue to provide a joyful, supportive space for local children and young people each summer.
