‘Irish Art: A Window on Our Past’
The society will host a talk given by Tom Duffy on Thursday, January 29, at 8pm at Reidy’s Bar, Newtown.
Entitled ‘Irish Art: A Window on Our Past’, the talk will give a deeper insight and alternative perspectives into the history of past human events at local, national & international levels.
This lecture will explore Irish art from the 19th century to the 1930s highlighting the contributions of artists such as Daniel Maclise, Lady Elizabeth Butler, John Henry Foley, Mildred Anne Butler, Lancelot Bayly, Seán Keating, Jack B Yeats among others.
Members and non-members welcome, admission free for members €5 for non-members.
