Concert fundraiser for Mary’s Meals

A variety concert in support of Mary’s Meals promises to be a great night out and a great deed done.

In the often dark days of January, it is lovely to have a night out and when the proceeds going to Mary’s Meals it is an opportunity to help some of the most deprived children in the world.

For the past few years a concert has been held in the Abbey Court Hotel with funds going to the Mary’s Meals organisation. Free school meals are provided for children in places like Ethiopia, Haiti, India, Lebanon, South Sudan and Zambia. These are just some of the 18 countries where feeding programmes are available.

The organisation has been in existence since 2002 and for every euro donated at least 93 cent is spent on the charitable activities. Every effort is made to keep overheads to a minimum.

All are welcome to the concert at the Abbey Court Hotel on Friday, January 30, at 8pm.
