New plan for Nenagh’s Malthouse

A new planning application has been made to redevelop the site of Nenagh’s old Malthouse pub. Margaret Fogarty is seeking the demolition of existing derelict buildings at No 7 & 8 McDonagh St and construction of three two-storey terraced dwelling houses, together with associated site works.

Tipperary Co Council granted permission for a similar development on the site in 2024, though this was overruled following an appeal to An Bord Pleanála by a third party. The council is to decide on this new application by February 10.
