Patrick McKeogh tractor run
The 2025 Patrick McKeogh Memorial Tractor Run is on this Sunday, December 14.
This year’s chosen charity is Embrace Farm. It will start at 1pm sharp at Ballina GAA field and will be crossing the new Brian Ború Bridge twice with a whole new route planned for this year.
Every year over 160 tractors take part in the run, making it one of the biggest events around. Great support is got from businesses and people in a wide area in donating to the event and an auction takes place that night in Liam O’Riain’s pub at 9.30, including all leading machinery dealer jackets, drums of oil, trailers of firewood, bags of firewood, bags of turf, bales of silage, a Belgium blue weanling heifer donated by the Darcy family, and a purebred registered in-calf Friesian heifer with papers donated by the McKeogh family.
The tractor run has raised €40,000 since it started four years ago. We would love to hear from anyone who would like to donate to the charity or to the auction. Contact 087 2778572.
