Tipp to face promoted sides in Ladies Football National League opener
Tipperary will have the benefit of four home games in division 2 of the Lidl Ladies National Football League after the fixtures for 2026 were confirmed.
Tipperary finished third in division 2 in 2025, behind Cork and Galway who were promoted so will feel they can contend under new manager David Power. Tipperary will start off on Sunday, 26th January against newly promoted Wexford with their first home game against another promoted team in Cavan the following weekend.
Sunday, 8th February will see Tipperary on the road to Mayo who were relegated from division 1 last season. There is a two week break before Tipperary return to action at home to Monaghan with their final away game on March 1st in Westmeath.
Tipperary welcome Donegal to the Premier County for round 6 on March 22nd with their final home game against Tyrone who were relegated from division 1 the following weekend.
The top two teams will be promoted and compete in the Division s finals at Parnell Park on Saturday, April 11th.
The LGFA and TG4 have also confirmed a number of other live TV fixtures in the 2026 Lidl National Leagues Division 1. The Dublin-Kerry clash gets the schedule underway on Saturday, January 24th, followed by provincial derby double-header on Bank Holiday Monday, February 2nd where Meath will play host to Dublin at 2.00pm, followed by the meeting of Kerry and Waterford at 3.45pm.
On Saturday, February 7th, Waterford’s home tie with Dublin (4.45pm) is scheduled for live TV coverage, followed by Galway’s home game with Armagh (4.15pm) on Saturday, February 21st.
The Leinster derby between Kildare and Meath on Saturday, February 28th (7.35pm) will be live on TG4, with a live pick on Saturday, March 21st to be confirmed. Live coverage of Round 7 fixtures, fixed for Sunday, March 29th, will be revealed in due course.
