Ramble a roaring success
The recent ramble held to support the Loughnane family turned out to be a roaring success. Over one thousand people rambled their way around the Cloone route, some for the first time ever. The weather gods behaved themselves to alleviate the worries of the organisers, who did a magnificent job in setting up the route and venue.
Proceedings got underway with a garda escort outside St Colmcille’s primary school at 1pm and the last of the walkers had reached the Whitefield Brewery by 3pm, where they were treated to magnificent sweets and treats by Cuilan Loughnane and his family.
It was a truly magnificent community event, something that Templemore does very well. It was also great to see support from the surrounding parishes, who came out in droves to support the cause.
The Loughnane family would like to express their appreciation to each and every individual who contributed to the fundraiser and thank them for their contributions, however big or small.
