Young actors take to the stage
It's show time for NSCYA's production of ‘Young Frankenstein’.
The week is finally here! Get ready for a night of laughter, outrageous comedy, and toe-tapping tunes in NCS Youth Academy's ‘Young Frankenstein’, running this week until October 25!
A musical comedy based on the 1974 Mel Brooks film, NCSYA's ‘Young Frankenstein’ brings to life the zany tale of Dr Frederick Frankenstein as he inherits his infamous grandfather’s Transylvanian estate. At first determined to distance himself from his family's legacy, Frederick is eventually drawn down his ancestor's footsteps, reanimating the dead with the help of his quirky assistants Igor, Inga, and Frau Blücher.
Led by our director and choreographer Stephanie Browne, chorus mistress Mary Rose McNally and musical director Niall Kelly, the cast of ‘Young Frankenstein’ have worked tirelessly throughout the summer to get this production ready for this week. With memorable songs like ‘Puttin' on the Ritz’ and ‘Transylvania Mania’, energetic dance numbers, quirky characters, and over-the-top performances, it's the perfect blend of comedy and chaos. Don’t miss this hilarious, colourful, electrifying show that’s sure to leave you in stitches!
