Call for nominations for Tipp awards
Special contributions of Premier County individuals in 2025
The Tipperary Association Dublin is inviting nominations for its annual awards for 2025.
Two prestigious awards will be made:
Tipperary Person of the Year and
Hall of Fame.
The awards will be presented at a special function to be held on Saturday, January 17 - so put that date in your diary. The Tipperary Person of the Year Award acknowledges the special contribution and achievements of a Tipperary person at local/community, county and national level from the various fields of endeavour including community, sport, academics, business etc. The award will be presented to an individual who made a special contribution to Tipperary in the past year and who brought honour/success, joy and excitement to the county.
Do you know someone whom you feel is worthy of this recognition and reward for his/her achievements in 2025?
If so, you are invited to nominate the person of your choice for consideration by the association. The 2025 winner will follow in the footsteps of recent winners like Brendan Maher, Seamus Callanan, Rachael Blackmore, The Two Johnnies and Sharlene Mawdsley.
The Hall of Fame Award honours and acknowledges the achievements and contributions made in the past by individuals in the areas of culture, sport, community activity/development or business. This lifetime achievement award will acknowledge one of the Tipperary stand-out individuals of the past. Former greats who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame include the inaugural winner in 1999 – the legendary Tipperary hurler, John Doyle, to more recent inductees such as Eddie Dalton, author/historian, Sr Eileen Fahy (2018), founder and manager of Aiseiri addiction services, song writer and composer Brendan Graham (2023) and Dan Quirke (2024) founder member of the Dillon Quirke Foundation.
Closing date for nominations is 5pm on Friday, October 24.
