Tipp urged to take part in Midwest's SVP Fun Run
The annual SVP Fun Run will take place in Limerick’s Mungret Park on Sunday, October 19, bringing together families, schools, businesses and community groups for a day of fitness, fun and fundraising in aid of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP).
The event, which begins at 1pm in Mungret Park, Limerick, offers routes suitable for all ages and abilities and aims to raise vital funds to support SVP’s work in Limerick and beyond.
Speaking ahead of the run SVP National President and Limerick native, Teresa Ryan, said: “The SVP Fun Run is more than just a sporting event - it is about neighbours, families and friends coming together in solidarity to support those who need it most. Every step taken on 19thOctober will help SVP provide practical assistance, friendship and hope to people experiencing hardship in our communities. I would encourage everyone in Limerick and further afield to lace up their runners and join us for what promises to be a wonderful day.”
Participants can sign up now at www.svpfunrun.ie, with early registration encouraged to secure a place. Funds raised from the event will go directly towards SVP’s services in education, housing, food support and advocacy - supporting families who continue to face significant challenges with the rising cost of living
