Green light for Nenagh supermarket plan
Conditional planning permission has been granted for a series of works at Nenagh’s Supervalu, formerly O’Connor’s Kenyon St Market.
Cedarglade Ltd has received permission to demolish the single-storey entrance lobby, single-storey stores and two-storey stores at the rear of the premises. A revised shopfront is planned for the Kenyon Street, Abbey Street and rear of the premises, along with a larger car park at the rear, where provision would increase from 21 to 38 car parking spaces with a one-way traffic system. A new footpath is to be constructed at Abbey St.
The plan also involves internal alterations to accommodate a new retail fitout at ground floor level and ancillary areas at first floor level, as well as the installation of a Deposit Return scheme unit, among other works.
