Jobs fair in Nenagh
North Tipperary Development Company (NTDC) are proud to be hosting a Jobs and Career Fair in Nenagh on Thursday, September 25. The event to be held in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh from 10am to 2pm, will showcase employment opportunities in Nenagh and Surrounding areas.
The event will also offer job-seekers advice and guidance with CVs, job-seeking skills, interview skills and will feature presentations from Job coaches and professionals in the areas of enterprise, education and training.
There will be up to 25 stands on the day offering different employment, career, and training progression routes, it is envisaged that the event will lead to new opportunities for employment in the communities of Tipperary and surrounding counties.
In highlighting this event, organiser Kevin Burrows, Enterprise and Employment Officer with NTDC, stated: “We are delighted that The Abbey Court Hotel have again helped us in hosting this important event for Nenagh, we have also partnered with The Tipperary Education Training Board, County Tipperary Chamber, local DSP Intreo Offices and other agencies to bring a wide range of professional information and advice into one place for job seekers to access.”
NTDC SICAP Manager, Kate Madden, added: “As part of our core work under the SICAP programme, we assist members of the community to access employment supports through training, work readiness and career support actions and by working closely with our collaboration partners, enabling us to bring a joined-up approach to this area of our work.”
Kate also took the opportunity to thank the funding agencies and their staff teams, who support NTDC’s employment and enterprise work, especially DSP, Tipperary Education & Training Board, Tipperary County Council, members of the Tipperary LCDC, Tipperary Chamber and the Department Rural & Community Development and other services to ensure employment support resources are available to all.
Claire Treacy, the Employer Relations Officer for the Department of Social Protection in Tipperary, commented: “The DSP are delighted to partner with the staging of the Event and reflected that the number of employers and professional agencies already signed up to attend, will help job seekers obtain the best advice and guidance on their journey into employment or education.”
