Art on Ballina bridge

The fourth annual Lua Art Exhibition showcased the paintings of some 70 local artists in St Flannan’s Cathedral last Saturday and Sunday week. Well done to the organisers and the talented artists!

On Sunday, the old Killaloe-Ballina bridge was the venue for the Old Killaloe-Ballina Bridge Plein Air Art competition, hosted by Birdhill Art Hub. This event was supported by Tipperary and Clare County Councils.

Despite cool, damp and breezy weather conditions, this event was very well supported by both artists and onlookers.

Meanwhile, the Killaloe-Ballina Active Retirement Association hosted Picnic on the Bridge on Sunday, September 21, with takeaway food from the Sunday market stalls and cafés at both sides of the bridge.
