The Life and Times of Nurse Bridget Rohan
On Friday, September 19, Silvermines Historical Society will host a talk on the subject of 'Forceps and Firearms: The Life and Times of Nurse Bridget Rohan, Barnagore’.
The talk will be given by Margaret Kennedy, BA, MA, Local History, B Ed. A retired secondary school teacher and civil servant, Margaret is a founder member of the Dromineer Nenagh Literary Festival and a former flag officer of the Lough Derg Yacht Club.
Margaret is also a member of Tipperary in the Decade of Revolution, a non-profit group of historians focused on the events that impacted the life of County Tipperary and its citizens during Ireland's revolutionary period. The talk will take place at The Eagle’s Nest, Dolla, starting at 8pm. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided after the talk.
