Funds for Roscrea Tidy Towns

Lending a helping hand

Roscrea Tidy Towns were delighted to receive €500 sponsorship from Premier Credit Union towards the cost of installing the floral display on Barrack Hill. The sponsorship is from their Community Sponsor Account from which they lend a helping hand to many organisations in their catchment area.

The cost of establishing floral displays is high, but Roscrea Tidy Towns are happy to install them to have the town looking it’s best, especially for the summer season. Not visible in the photo are the two vibrantly coloured fibreglass planters and the remainder of the floral display which is so stunning in the area.

As a voluntary body, any monies we get go straight into projects to enhance the town. Other than contributions such as this and grants from state agencies, Roscrea Tidy Towns has no other income source.

Roscrea Tidy Towns has been supported by Roscrea Credit Union - now Premier Credit Union - many times in past years and the partnership has resulted in many floral displays in the town over the years. We sincerely thank the Board of Management, officers and staff for their continued support.

Brian King, CEO of Premier Credit Union, said: “We are proud to support Roscrea Tidy Towns. Their dedication and voluntary efforts make a real difference to the look and spirit of Roscrea. We know how much work goes into projects like the floral displays, and we’re delighted to play a small part in helping the town look its very best for residents and visitors alike.”
