The game opened with wides from both sides before Eoin Boyle struck for Borris’s goal. With Shane Ryan in fine scoring form, Borris built an early cushion and led by eight after 18 minutes. Silvermines, however, grew into the game and cut the gap to just two at the break, 1-11 to 0-12.
On the restart, Borris pushed on with Patrick Ryan and Jack Bevans finding their range. A red card forced adjustments, but Borris remained composed, with Patrick Ryan proving central in attack from play and frees. By the 52nd minute, Borris were 1-20 to 0-16 ahead.

Burgess booked their place in the final with a deserved 2-20 to 2-11 victory over Ballinahinch/Templederry.
The first half was tightly contested, with little between the sides. Burgess held a narrow 0-9 to 0-7 advantage at the break. On the restart, Burgess quickly took control. Early goals from Paul Cahalan and David Nealon within the opening seven minutes gave them breathing space. Ballinahinch/Templederry responded with two goals from frees, but Burgess always had the edge.
Cahalan continued to keep the scoreboard ticking with placed balls, while Mikey Ryan also chipped in with important scores.
The second half also saw two red cards issued, one to each side in separate incidents, but Burgess kept their composure to run out nine-point winners.
Burgess will be joined by Moneygall/Clonakenny in the final as the latter had an impressive 3-20 to 1-11 victory over Kiladangan.
The combo made a dream start when Cian Ryan struck for a goal inside the opening minute. Eoghan Doughan added a superb second on fifteen minutes as they surged into a 2-12 to 0-5 halftime lead. Ryan found the net again just two minutes into the second half. There was improved play from Kiladangan after the break, with Dara O’Dwyer finishing well soon after, but the contest fizzled out from there as Moneygall/Clonakenny comfortably saw out the game
