JK Brackens 2-18 Borrisokane 1-11

Last years defeated finalists JK Brackens proved too good for Borrisokane in their first round clash on Saturday in Moneygall.

The winners led 2-9 to 1-6 at half time with Jack Marnell and Darragh Doyle finding the net. Luke Quigley scored the Borrisokane goal mid-way through the half and approaching half time, Philip Austin had a penalty saved.

After the resumption, Gary Ryan kicked over a two-pointer, but JK Brackens had too much in hand and were deserving winners.

Kiladangan and Borrisokane will meet eachother in the next round.
