Heritage Week 2025 is now well up and running with thousands of free events taking place all over Ireland. Templemore has two events taking place on Sunday.

The old Fenian plaque will be unveiled once more in the yard of the McAuley Centre.

Ronan Loughnane will then give a brief history of Hospital Street and all that took place along this very historic stretch of road in Templemore.

Heritage Week itself has so many interesting events all over the country and should you be free, you could do a lot worse than check out National Heritage Week - heritageweek.ie - and plan a day out for yourself. You never know where you might end up!
