Nenagh Ormond’s preparations for their historic first season in the top division of the All-Ireland League has been given helping hand by one of its most famous sons.

Former Munster and Ireland second row Donnacha Ryan is going into his fourth season as forward’s coach with La Rochelle in the Top 14, under head coach Ronan O’Gara, who this week are hosting Nenagh Ormond for a pre-season training camp on the West coast of France.

It is all in build up for the 2025/2025 season, the start of which is just over two weeks away when Nenagh Ormond begin the defence of their Munster Senior Challenge Cup title when they host UL Bohemian in a first round clash on Saturday, 6th September.

The format of this seasons Munster Senior Challenge Cup has changed from a group one with three games, to straight knockout, and should Nenagh progress past their Limerick opponents, they will host either Cork Constitution or Dolphin in the quarter finals a week later.

Their All-Ireland League campaign begins on Saturday, 27th September when they welcome Old Belvedere to New Ormond Park.
