Burglary in Lorrha and theft in Newtown

Gardaí continue to appeal for information on a burglary that occurred in Abbeyville, Lorrha, earlier this month.

The burglary took place on a house on August 2, sometime between 5.30 and 6.30pm. A number of items were stolen and the property was ransacked.

Gardaí are also appealing for information on the theft on an item of machinery stolen at a sportsgrounds in Newtown on Saturday last.

A spokesman warned all sports clubs to be vigilant as they are currently being targeted by thieves.
