All smiles at the summer camp.

Successful team-building camp in Borrisokane

Unity Youth Hub members shine

This summer, the spirit of unity and collaboration came to life as members of the Unity Youth Hub took part in a vibrant Team Building Summer Camp in Borrisokane. Organised by Silver Arch Family Resource Centre, the two-day camp brought together refugee children for an unforgettable experience filled with games, creativity, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Led by the energetic and inspiring Josh Egan from Volunteer Ventures, the camp focused on building trust, communication, and teamwork among the young participants. From cooperative games and problem-solving challenges to outdoor adventures and group discussions, every moment was designed to empower the children and help them feel a deeper sense of belonging.

The atmosphere was electric with positivity and joy. For many of the participants, it was a rare opportunity to relax, connect with peers, and express themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. Whether it was a game of human knot, a trust fall, or a friendly competition, the children showed incredible spirit, resilience, and support for one another.

The camp also served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community and the role of youth engagement in the integration journey. The bonds formed and memories made during these two days will undoubtedly continue to grow beyond the camp itself.

A heartfelt thank you to Silver Arch FRC for organizing such a meaningful initiative, and to Josh Egan for guiding the group with enthusiasm, kindness, and skill. Most of all, congratulations to all the Unity Youth Hub members who took part - you showed leadership, courage, and what it truly means to be a team.

Together, we are building more than just memories - we are building a stronger, more united future.
