Tipp public urged to give blood
Irish hospital's demand for blood continues to rise month on month. 3,000 blood donations are needed each week just to keep pace.
Every single donation makes a profound difference. Blood is a lifeline for thousands of patients every year – from those undergoing complex surgeries, individuals battling cancer and leukaemia requiring chemotherapy, to mothers experiencing complications during childbirth, and victims of serious accidents. One unit of blood can save or significantly improve the lives of up to three people.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is hosting clinics in Nenagh next week and are urging the public to support the event. The Nenagh clinics will be held in the Scouts Hall Nenagh: Sunday – August 10: 11.50am - 3.10pm; Monday to Wednesday – August 11-13: 4.50 – 8.10pm. New and returning donors welcome at all clinics. Please phone 1800 222111 for appointment.
