Cooper wants your vote
Two-year-old Cooper has been selected as Tipperary Nose of Tralee for the Pet Sitters Ireland 2025 Nose of Tralee Competition.
“Cooper is the friendliest, kindest, lovable dog. He is a real snuggle monster. He loves his cuddles all the time. He’s a good little boy and has a great temperament,” said Nenagh’s Jane Ryan, proud owner of little Cooper, who is a mini Bernedoodle, which is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle.
“Everywhere I go people stop me up with him,” explained Jane as to why she decided to enter Cooper into the running for Tipperary Nose of Tralee.
“He’s my Cooper I suppose, and I just thought he would have a good chance of winning,” she continued.
Tipperary Nose of Tralee Success
To win Tipperary Nose of Tralee, it was up to the owners of each dog to promote them both in person and online, and then it was up to a panel of judges to decide the winner.
“You can only vote once a day, so I just kept encouraging people to vote.
“They picked three dogs from Tipperary, the three with the highest votes, and then it went to a panel of judges, and they picked one for Tipperary,
“I never thought we would get to the semi-finals, I was delighted with everyone that voted, and I was thrilled to get that far,” explained Jane.
“It was like winning the All-Ireland to me! Please God, we’ll hopefully win! But he’s everything to us, he’s our winner anyway whatever the outcome is,” she continued.
Nose of Tralee 2025
Cooper is now in the running against 32 other contestants to win Nose of Tralee 2025. It will be up to Jane for the next few weeks to promote Cooper online and through word of mouth so that people will vote for him in the competition.
“It’s basically to get everyone in Tipperary behind me, I’d encourage people to go and vote every day.
“The voting lines will open on July 24 and stay open until August 18 at 5pm,” she said.
“To win the Nose of Tralee would be everything. It’s my first time entering it and I love Cooper so much. It would be like winning the lottery, I’d just love it. I’d love to see him win it,” expressed Jane.
