Tipperary ETB welcomes appointment of Nuala Martin as LCYP Coordinator

Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) has welcomed the appointment of Nuala Martin as Coordinator of the newly established Tipperary Local Creative Youth Partnership (LCYP).

Nuala is a passionate community educator and creative practitioner, dedicated to empowering young people through arts, culture and innovative learning experiences. As the new LCYP Coordinator for Tipperary ETB, she will lead the development and delivery of programmes that connect young people from seldom heard communities to creative opportunities that inspire confidence, expression and a sense of belonging.

Tipperary ETB is the eighth ETB to join the LCYP network in Ireland. It is chaired by Clodagh Kelly, Chief Executive of Tipperary ETB, and includes representation from a range of local organisations across the statutory, community and voluntary sectors, that have a remit for the arts, culture and/or creativity, and that work with children and young people.

LCYPs are an initiative led and funded by the Department of Education and Youth, the Department of Children, Disability and Equality, and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

The expansion of LCYPs is one of the objectives detailed in the Creative Youth Plan.

This plan has a vision for, ‘an Ireland where creativity is at the heart of children and young peoples’ lives and where creativity can contribute greatly to their happiness, wellbeing and personal development.
