Darkness into Light Walk raises over €20k!

Organisers thank the community

The Darkness Into Light team have been blown away by the level of support that this year’s event has received from the community of Nenagh.

The Darkness Into Light 5km walk is the main fundraising event for Pieta House. This year the Nenagh Darkness Into Light Committee are delighted to announce that the event raised a total of €20,378.80.

Darkness Into Light Chairperson Christine Nevin said that it was an absolute privilege to Chair this year’s event.

Christine, who has been involved on the committee since 2018, said she feels passionate about the great work been carried out by Pieta House. The importance of fundraisers like the Nenagh event ensured that the organisation could continue its work providing vital services for those who need it.

Christine added that she would like to thank all those who signed up and took part in the event and to the hard-working committee for their continued help and support over the years.

The Darkness Into Light committee would like to thank everyone for their support with this year’s event. It could simply not happen with the support of the community.

The committee would like to say a special thank you to: The Scouts Hall Committee, the Order of Malta, Nenagh Fire Brigade, Tipperary County Council, An Garda Síochána and all the volunteers and local businesses, who went above and beyond to ensure this year’s event went to plan.
