Power outage in Nenagh

Hundreds of homes and businesses in the town of Nenagh were left without power last Friday night following a cable fault.

ESB Networks confirmed that there was a cable fault in the Nenagh area at 7pm, which resulted in a loss of supply for 1,600 customers at its peak. Crews mobilised immediately to investigate the cause of the fault and carry out the necessary repair work. Power was restored to all customers by 9.30pm.

"We acknowledge the disruption to family and commercial life this causes, and thank our customers for their patience," a spokesperson for ESB Networks stated.
