Major drugs find by Killaloe Detective Unit

Gardaí have seized €210,000 of cocaine following a search operation in Tuamgraney, Co Clare, on Saturday.

The search of a residential premises was carried out by members of the Killaloe Detective Unit, Ennis Detective Unit and Clare/Tipperary Drugs Unit with assistance from the Regional Dog Unit.

A vehicle on the premises was searched, resulting in the recovery of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €210,000.

A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and brought to a Garda Station in Co Clare. He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
