Kelly pleased with squad contribution

It was a happy Tipperary camp following Saturday's comprehensive victory over Limerick in their third game of the All-Ireland Senior Championship, a win that puts them on the cusp of qualification for the knockout stage.
Speaking in the aftermath, a happy Tipp manager Denis Kelly was impressed with his sides performance, but is aware there are still aspects of their game that needs working on.
“Yeah, happy enough there, there were lots of positives from our side,” he began.
“We scored 4-26, it was a big score. We had a good first half, maybe we died a little bit at the start of the second half for the opening ten minutes, so a little bit of work to be done there.
“I felt we started to lose it a bit in the middle third but overall happy with the performance.” Kelly was delighted with the impact of the bench and with how the squad is shaping up ahead of the business end of the season.
“With the head injury, we got to use seven subs today, there was a couple of knocks to the head, so that’s an advantage with that rule.
“It was good to get numbers in and get a look at players, and see where they are at, but yeah we have a good squad there now, and with the Clare game coming up next and we will see where we after that which will be a stiffer test, and then a quarter final to look forward to after that.”
