Midlands Gymnastics Club break new ground at National Series
What a weekend it was at the National Sports Arena in Dublin, where our incredible gymnasts took part in the National Series recently.
Over two full days of competition, our girls showed exactly what hard work, dedication, and team spirit can achieve, and we couldn’t be prouder. From breathtaking routines to hard-fought podium finishes, our team gave it everything. And it paid off.
In the Over 15 Level 6, Lauren Ryan absolutely stole the show, taking home gold in the all-around, the bars, and silver on the beam. Her performances were packed with confidence and precision, a true reflection of the time and effort she’s put into her training.
Not far behind was Roan Carney, who delivered a fantastic competition, earning silver in the all-around, gold on the vault, and silver on the bars. Roan’s energy and determination were clear in every performance, she gave it her all and it showed!
Massive congratulations as well to Kate Hackett who finished just outside the medals but still achieved an amazing fourth place in the all-around, as well as fourth on the vault and bars. A brilliant effort in a tough field.
We also made a bit of club history as Amice Fanning and Diana Chuhai became the first girls from our club to ever compete at Level 9. That alone is a huge achievement, but Amice went one step further and brought home a bronze medal on the beam. We’re so proud of both of you for pushing boundaries and showing what’s possible.
To every single gymnast who competed, your passion, your perseverance, and your support for each other were amazing to watch. You’ve made your coaches, your families, and your club incredibly proud.
A big thank you to all the parents for your support, and to the girls who stayed behind and helped at the club while the team was away. Your kindness and teamwork behind the scenes don’t go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate it.
To our medal winners, to those who reached new milestones, and to every gymnast who stepped out onto the floor well done. We can’t wait to see what you all do next.
