Tipperary’s strength at underage hurling level at the moment is further highlighted by having the largest number of schools taking part in next seasons Dr Harty Cup (Munster PPS Senior ‘A’ Hurling).

The draw for the 2025/26 Dr Harty Cup was made recently with Tipperary having five schools as part of the sixteen team competition which will get underway in the autumn.

Thurles CBS became the third Tipperary school in as many years to lift the Harty Cup earlier this year, and they have been drawn alongside Limerick opposition in John the Baptist Community School Hospital, and Doon CBS, as well as Blackwater Community School, Lismore.

Nenagh CBS has been drawn in a toug group with annual challengers Ardscoil Rís Limerick and St Flannan's College Ennis, while there will be a Tipperary derby in as 2023 champions Cashel Community School also feature.

High School Clonmel are back in the top tier after winning last year's Munster ‘B’ title, and they have been drawn into a group with Midleton CBS, St Colman's College Fermoy, and De La Salle College, Waterford.

Our Lady's Secondary School, Templemore are the final Tipperary school and will play Cork schools in Gaelcholaiste Mhuire AG, CBC Cork, and St Joseph's Secondary School, Tulla.
